Ciclovia dei Castelli (The Route of the Castles) is the firs cycling route in Lunigiana. It has been created by the synergies of five municipalities of Lunigiana. Pontremoli, Filattiera, Villafranca, Bagnone and Mulazzo can now be discovered by bicycle. The route is a loop of 47 kilometers between the Piano della Magra river and the pre-Emilian Tuscany Apennine hills. You can rent e-bikes for all ages, recharge, repair and make a small maintenance of bicycles along the way (called “punto manutenzione”).
27 kilometers on the normal road (asphalt), 3 km on pavement and 15 on dirt roads through medieval villages, chesnut groves and castles.
