Guinadi and Its Historic Community Cooperative
In the Valle del Verde lies the village of Guinadi San Rocco, in the municipality of Pontremoli, along the road connecting Pontremoli to Borgotaro in the Province of Parma.
Here stands the oldest commercial activity in the province of Massa Carrara, now transformed into a community cooperative: La Guinadese Community Cooperative, founded in 1919.
In the village, the cooperative runs a Bar-Grocery Store and a Restaurant, where local traditions are preserved, including cooking with testi, a traditional method that is a Slow Food Presidium of Lunigiana.
