How to Reach Formentara
From Pontremoli: Follow the SS62 south towards Zeri, as the road takes you through scenic mountain landscapes. Before reaching the Passo dei 2 Santi, you’ll find a turn-off to the right marked Alpeggio della Formenta; continue for 1 km and park in the parking area. A short downhill path will take you in less than 5 minutes to discover this hidden corner of Lunigiana.
