Medieval castle from 1077
Born from a small fortress guarding the Roman road to Piacenza, the Castle was built around the 11th century by the Este family, before passing to the Malaspina family in 1195. It became part of the Republic of Genoa in 1416. In 1465, it returned to the Malaspina family until 1797.
After two centuries of abandonment, in 1991 the Castevoli Castle was purchased by Erika End and Loris Nelson Ricci, who began its restoration. Today, it houses an International Cultural Center in the field of art, featuring paintings, sculptures, and architectural projects.

How to Reach Castevoli Castle
From Pontremoli, follow the directions to Mulazzo. Once you arrive at the roundabout in Arpiola, follow the road for about 7 km towards Ponte Magra/Villafranca. After 7 km, you will find on the right the sign that leads to Costa D’Arzola-Castevoli. Follow the signs to Castevoli and then continue to the end of the road.
