Casola pools: A series of Natural Pools (Pozze) where you can swim and picnic. Located near the Archaeological Park of the Stele Statues of Casola
The Pozze di Casola are located about a two-minute walk from the Archaeological Park of the Stele Statues, in the village of Casola in Lunigiana. This location is great for enjoying free time – especially for families with children.
In the park there is a picnic area and a barbecue spot. The pools are easy to reach, and in summer they are a great place to swim.
How to reach the Pozze di Casola
From the village of Casola in Lunigiana, follow the road towards Vigneta. After about a kilometer, you will find the Stele Park signs on the right. Walk thru the park of the Stele Statues and go down the path with the fence that will take you to the riverbed. Be careful on the last part of the descent, especially if the ground & rocks are wet.
Difficulty: Easy.
Be careful on the last 10 meters of descent to the riverbed.
Time: 2 minutes
The use of good hiking shoes is recommended
